Everything Finance Monthly Round Up – Can Phelps Capture the Gold Again?
The 2012 Summer Olympics have begun. There is pressure on Michael Phelps to win more gold medals to add to his collection. However, in his first race, he didn’t medal. He is optimistic and tweeted that tomorrow is another day. Hopefully he will be able to rebound from the first race and capture some more medals.
Around the web, I have been reading some excellent personal finance articles. Here are some of my favorites:
Financial Samurai recently retired and negotiated a sweet severance package and has written an ebook to help others do the same. Way to go!!!
Have you tried your hand at growing a garden this summer? Prairie Eco Thrifter shares the many benefits to doing so.
The economy has scared more and more from investing in the stock market. My Journey to Millions shares ways to invest outside of Wall Street.
Sustainable Personal Finance shares how you can declutter your home and keep “stuff” out of the landfills by freecycling.
Do you work from home? Free from Broke tells how to rock a mobile office.
Do you think you’ll work late into life before you retire? So do many people, but Squirrelers shares why that will probably not be the case.
Untemplater introduces her readers to the owner of The Chai Tea Cart. Anyone who wants to walk away from corporate America and do something different will be inspired by her story.
The Financial Blogger wonders why so many personal finance bloggers are broke. Good question.
Summer is not quite over yet, so take advantage of Frugal Confessions’ lists of fun things to do with kids for less than $1.
So Over This is a freelancer, and recently she expressed her frustration over some of her clients and their demands. Take note as a way to avoid being a bad client!
